Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
— Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)

Evangelism

Evangelism is the presentation of the gospel to individuals and groups by such methods as preaching, teaching, and personal or family visitation programs. Evangelism is one of the most important tools in the Church. We should be the “salt of the earth” making people thirsty for the Living Water—Jesus Christ. It has often been quoted, “Live what you preach.” This is the greatest form of evangelism. Be who you say you are. Be Whose you say you are. Souls are dying daily without having Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

You and I have been given the command to “Go ye” (Matthew 28:19). Go ye in your personal walk. Go ye as the Church. Go ye in your home. Go ye in your neighborhood. Go ye in your school. Go ye on your job. Go and teach; go and preach—not your thoughts, but the Word of God. The Evangelism Department of The Church of God seeks to inspire all to go and share the message of Christ and His Church.

World Missions

The goal of the World Mission Department is the same as the Church’s, to reach the entire world with the complete message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the responsibility of the Church to, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:19, 20). In doing so, the World Mission department aids in raising and providing the finances to fulfill this command of Christ.
