So Great a Salvation

"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;" (Hebrews 2:3 KJV)

Who will tell them?

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:19-20 KJV)

Does this not stir your soul?

Have you not seen and heard the birds in the early morning, singing and praising the Lord? Have you not noticed the trees, with their outstretched limbs raised unto the Lord?

"And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." (Luke 19:40 KJV)

What about a newborn foal, how it looks to it's Momma? Is this how we are with our Lord and HIS CHURCH? Are we excited to be a part of HER? A part of the most significant time in His-story to happen since Christ hung on the cross for you and me? Are we excited to serve Him/to share Him with others?

Who are we in HIM?

What has He done for us? Will we share this good news? If we don't who will?

What has He done for you? Don't you want to tell other's about His mercy, His grace, His longsuffering? Don't you?

A dear old saint shared a dream with me. She was at the church working around, and she noticed people on the sidewalk. She went to see what was going on. They were saying to her as they marched to hell, WHY DIDN'T YOU tell ME?

Are YOU saved and satisfied? Does this Message of The Church of God not excite you and stir you? Why not? What is holding you back?

"Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper." (Luke 14:16-24 KJV)

Is this passage describing us? Are we making excuses for ourselves? Does this parable reflect MY attitude towards the work?

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15 KJV)

The Church, she is mine, she is yours, SHE is with you, Wherever you are. We are one of another in HER! What I do affects you. What you do effects Her. What we do effects each other. The Lord has given us a job to do. It is a duty to tell others of Him and His Church, if we can't excite each other, if we can't stir each other, if we can't get rid of the cobwebs and climb off of our couches to reach the lost, HE WILL find someone who will. What will you say Church? Are you among the Bride, or are you not?

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." (Revelation 22:21)
